Default Hi I'm new here

Hello, everyone. As you can tell from my user name, Get Smart and Leave It to Beaver are my two most favorite sitcoms of all time. I'm surprised that Get Smart only has 8 pages while Leave It to Beaver has 51. I know that LITB was on TV Land a lot longer than GS, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I have read a lot of the threads on the Get Smart board, and I saw that quite a few of you said that 5 was your favorite season and 4 was your second favorite. Same here! Get Smart is one of the few sitcoms, I believe, got better each season. Max and Larabee are tied for favorite character; Siegfried and Shtarker are tied for second favorite.

Siegfried is my favorite bad guy. Ed Platt was a big favorite (the Chief) but Max is my all around favorite.

I love that the show is so far ahead of its time, now so much of what Buck Henry/ Mel Brooks were saying has happened and keeps happening.

I like the earlier seasons. But watch all of them. There really aren't many boring episodes.
Always had top notch guest stars.

My favorite episode is the one where Siegfried kidnaps almost all of control and at end of first part, Smart is trapped with a vicious dog (that turned out to be a tape of a vicious dog).

Which car that Max pulled up in at the opening was your favorite?

Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet.

This was used only in the black and white pilot episode, "Mr. Big."

Sunbeam Tiger

Used in the opening Shots of seasons one and two, this car was used throughout the series in various episodes.

Sunbeam Alpine

An Alpine was used in lieu of the Tiger in various episodes.

Volkswagen Kharman Ghia

This cute Ghia was used only in the opening shots of seasons three and four. Darn!

Ford Mustang

Used as the Chiefs car, this car appeared in the fourth season.

Opel GT

The Opel was used only in season five for the opening credits and driven in a few episodes.

My family had Volkswagens a lot so the Kharman Ghia was my favorite. It was probably the least effective sports car on the list. I just love the look.

I haven't posted enough to post links, but you can find this if you Google it.

Probably the Volkswagen. I like blue cars. How funny that my family was just talking about the cars that appear at the beginning, Steely Dan.

I haven't been on Sitcoms Online in awhile, so, yes, I just saw this. I got back on here because of the Get Smart marathon on Decades.

I've seen some Get Smart lately on ME-TV. They run it on a once a week schedule, Mondays 1AM ET.

Oh, yeah, opus. I remember that it's a part of "The Spy Who Loved ME." But 1AM is too late for me, and I have no way of recording it. I plan on buying all the seasons on DVD eventually.

Thanks for the welcome, Svenfan1234.
