Seth Meyers to Return to "The Mindy Project"

Seth Meyers is making a repeat visit to "The Mindy Project". But, like in any good fro-yo outing, there’s a twist.

Though the "Late Night" host appeared as Matt, one of Dr. Lahiri’s suitors in a Season 1 episode of the comedy — helping Mindy nab a tote bag at a local bookstore, then taking her out for frozen yogurt — he’ll play himself in the upcoming midseason premiere, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Meyers’ appearance is part of “a really funny workplace story” at Shulman and Associates, executive producer Matt Warburton tells TVLine. And the SNL alum’s resemblance to that fleeting first season love interest? Purely coincidental.
