Default Favorite TV moments?

mine would be...
FSU/Miami "Wide Right I"(1991) i remember when Keith Jackson said "Missed it to the right!"
China Beach episode where Laurette Barber (the USO singer) sings to a solider as he dies now that one made me cry!
another one from CB where Hang(the Vietnamese girl)and Holly(the "donut dolly") perform the song "Blowin' in the Wind" that one also made me emotional because soon after they take Hang away because they think she is involved with the VC's activities.
Virginia Dancy dies on The Doctors.
Gabi leaves her husband at the altar after Carmen blackmailed her on Sunset Beach.
A Wheel of Fortune episode in November of 1986 where a female contestant named Leigh sets a new one-round record of $44,300 by solving AN AMERICAN SUCCESS STORY. She also wins three cars: one from the Prize wedge, the other two from the aforementioned one-round record.
Ben and Meg's wedding gets interrupted on Sunset Beach
the "prom boat" storyline on Passions
Blake and Phillip's wedding on The Guiding Light gets interrupted when Phillip is shot. Blake and Holly both screaming was very scary but also the revelation that it was Roger Thrope unmasked!
Perry Mason episode where Perry Mason loses a case when Janice Barton is convicted of murdering her aunt and is subsequently sentenced to death i remember they showed the headline "Burger Defeats Mason!"
another one from China Beach where Cherry dies that one made me sad.
the CB finale like when McMurphy is holding her daughter at the wall that and the song that went along with it was sad too
9/11. enough said
Chris Drury pitches Trumbull, Connecticut to the Little League World Series title on Wide World of Sports.
on Little House on the Prairie when the school burned down and Ms Garvey and the baby were killed
another LHTOP episode where Mary tells off Miss Peal: "Oh, but you have! You're going to tell me, and you're going to tell my father, and you're going to tell all these people how you dare to call me that!" then "Thousands of words in the Bible...READ SOME OF THOSE WORDS YOU LIVE BY!" I've never seen Melissa Sue Anderson go over the top like she did in that episode.
the AIDS storyline on General Hospital
Megan dies on One Life to Live

On "Frasier", when the TV kids host Nanny asks Frasier "Do you know what it's like playing the same character for 20 years"?

I have several favorite moments that I probably can't name all of them but I will do my best.

Full House-
When Jesse moved out of the house and Michelle and Jesse had to say goodbye to each other.
When Jesse and Becky got married.
When Becky gave birth to the twins.
When Papouli died.

Roseanne-
When Fisher beat Jackie.
When Dan had his heart attack.
When Darlene's baby was born sick.

Friends-
Ross and Rachel's first kiss.
The birth of their daughter, Emma.
Ross's confronting Rachel after she doesn't say goodbye to him.
Rachel's heartbreaking and tearful confession to Ross as to why she didn't say goodbye to him and the kiss afterwards.
When Rachel got off the plane.
Their last kiss...
Phoebe and Mike's wedding.
When Phoebe said goodbye to the triplets.

Fresh Prince-
When Will realized his father didn't really want him.
When Will was shot.
When Will almost killed Carlton with the speed found in his locker.
When Ashley decided to wait to have sex with her boyfriend.

Frasier-
When Niles meets Daphne for the first time.
When Daphne finds out that Niles has feelings for her.
When Niles confesses to Daphne that he loves her.
Niles and Daphne's wedding.
When Niles goes in for heart surgery.
When Niles and Daphne realize they are going to have a baby.
The birth of their son, David.
The moment we realize just how much Martin means to Frasier and Niles and to Daphne.
The moment we realize how much Daphne means to all of them.

The Golden Girls-
When we find out that Dorothy may not be Sophia's real daughter.
When Phil died.
The birth of Rebecca's daughter.
When Sophia has to go to the hospital with pneumonia and she may not make it.
When the girls get a winning lottery ticket and it gets misplaced. They end up finding it at a homeless shelter and give it to them.
When Sophia wants to become a nun.
When Dorothy is sick and doesn't know what's wrong with her.
Blanche's dream about George.
When Rose has a heart attack and has to have heart surgery.
When Dorothy gets married.
The last scenes with the girls in the finale.

A few more...

St. Elsewhere - Nina, Jack Morrison's wife, died in a freak bathroom accident. When i saw that on a rerun, i was shocked.

The other one was the one, ONE moment I *ever* let myself cry during a TV show, but on China Beach, KC putting her little girl on the last helicopter out of Saigon. That got to me, as much as Ninia dying on St. Elsewhere.

I can't remember which episode, but on Fame when Nicole dies in a drunk driving accident.

What i was going to say was in the earlier post was that David Morse and Marg Helgenberger were awesome in those scenes on St. Elsewhere and China Beach, respectively. That shows me how good they were.

Two episodes based on drunk driving...On Growing Pains, The episode "Second Chance," where Carol's goofy boyfriend Sandy (Matthew Perry in an early appearance) is once again the butt of Mike and Ben's silly jokes when he's late for his date ... until they learn (from a phone call) the reason why: He was in a major car accident the previous evening. Viewers later learn that Sandy and Carol had been drinking heavily the night before, and after leaving Carol off, had crashed his car. Sandy appears to be OK, and Carol is thankful that he was just slightly hurt ... but only later do viewers learn the truth: When they get home, Mike has some somber news: Sandy just died from internal bleeding due to his injuries. Carol refuses to believe this at first...

The other one, on In the Heat of the Night: "Forever Fifteen," where a hit-and-run drunk driver crashes into a vehicle where four members of the Sparta High School cheerleading squad were passengers; three of the cheerleaders, including the driver, are killed instantly (one of the girls literally dies in one of the officer's arms, which tore me up big time), while a fourth is in a coma, never to awaken (Word of God has it she died shortly after the events of this episode). While a publicity-seeking district attorney accuses the force of inadequately investigating the crash, the officers enlist the aid of a retired police officer — himself having to deal with his own memories of losing a loved one in a previous drunk driving crash — to find the driver of the other vehicle. (In the end, the other driver was the district attorney, who was using his campaign against the police force to cover his tracks.)

I remember that! And the audience ROARED because the joke was that Kelsey Grammer had been playing Frasier for 20 years.

When the blind guy drops Jack in the Three's Company episode "Jack's Navy Pal."

Having a disabled character not being portrayed as a saint was unexpected and refreshing. And funny.

I remember 2 daytime TV moments when i was little, on 'Sale of the Century' in which a contestant (who I found out later on, was named Rani White) ran the Winner's Big Money Game and won $50,000, because i remember me and my grandmother's reaction when it happened. The other one was (and i think it was the same month, don't count me right on this one) was when Luis and Maria got married on Sesame Street. edit: Rani winning 50K on SOTC was in April of 88, Luis and Maria were married on May 13, 1988 on SS. Now those 2 i do remember, simply because of how celebratory they were.

Rani White wins $50,000 on Sale of The Century

Danica McKellar as Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years has stage fright while performing in the school play Our Town but then delivers a heartfelt performance.
Patrica Wettig as Nancy crying in her car in the rain on Thirtysomething after she finds out she has cancer.

I remember one time watching All My Children and a plane crash happened and one of the characters, played by Eva LaRue (who i remember was the co-host and announcer on Candid Camera from 1991 to 1992, before she took on the soap role) died. I think her character was Maria?
