I have had no luck remembering or finding the name of a sitcom from, I think, the late 70's. It centered around the Devil, a tall dark-haired guy who wore a suit and worked in an office trying to get people to sign his contracts. I remember one time on the show some mentioned Boise, ID, and he replied "Bwazay! I love Bwazay!"
That's all I have. Help! |

It may actually be A Year at the Top. I'd have to see the first episode, which seems impossible. Thanks for the help!

Nice list, Opus! What website is that from?
Now if I was to take a guess, the only sitcom that I remember from the 70s which would have had something to do with the Devil would have been Out Of The Blue (#74 on the list.) It was about an angel named Random, played by comedian Jimmy Brogan, who went around doing good deeds every week. He had also appeared in separate episodes of Happy Days and Mork and Mindy and its status as a spin-off of both series is very confusing. Now since the show was about an angel, it made sense to include the devil as well. That was also played by Brogan. What I remember about that was that he had a funny way of saying "Beelzebub." He would say it before he disappeared. That's what has remained with me until today and that's why I thought of it. |

It was A Year at the Top. Greg Evigan and Paul Shaffer (Late Night with David Letterman) starred.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Year_at_the_Top "Some viewers may object to Dell's flamboyant swishiness in the part, but he has such a good time pronouncing "Boise" as "Bwa - zay" that he's pretty hard to resist it's a superb and sustained fame characterization."
