Recently Me-TV reran an Alfred Hitchcock Hour entitled "The Ordeal of Mrs. Snow" where a wealthy old woman was locked in her vault by her nephew-in-law when she threatened to expose his check forging to his wife/her niece. Columbo's first post-NBC Mystery Movie movie, "Try and Catch Me", seems to be a twist on this, where a wealthy old woman locks her nephew-in-law in her vault since she believed that he was responsible for the death of her niece/his wife. It was a completely different plot, but it still appears to be a twist on the older Hitchcock Hour.
