To celebrate the birthay of Desi Arnaz yesterday I watched three of the episodes of "The Mothers in Law" in which Desi guest starred. They are "The Hombre who Comes to Dinner" parts one and two and "The Matador Makes a Movie". Desi's timing and line delivery were excellent making for a very funny performance. But it was obvious his body was beginning to break down. All those years of drinking and smoking were really take a toll on him.

I enjoyed seeing Desi on the show, I also enjoyed his son's appearance in one of the episodes too.

Why did you have to call him "Bright Eyes"?
And I haven't seen that episode since it's original run. |

He also made his first appearance on The Mothers-In-Law in the episode "A Night To Forget."

I love The Hombre Who Comes To Dinner part 2 with Desi Arnaz Jr. What a terrific episode.

You're right. I love all of the Southern California references: Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Marineland, Disneyland and the appearance of the Seven Dwarfs.

The Decades channel just aired the 2-part "Hombre" story with Desi and Desi Jr. Great to see the "big straw hat" performance by Desi, with his son on drums!
