Ready or not, it’s almost time to say goodbye to "CSI". The long-running CBS procedural’s finale is slated to air Sunday, Sept. 27, and TVLine can now confirm more than 10 vets returning to the fold for the farewell fete.

Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle
Jon Wellner as Henry Andrews
Wallace Langham as David Hodges
Ted Danson as D.B. Russell
David Berman as David Phillips
Robert David Hall as Dr. Al Robbins
Eric Szmanda as Greg Sanders
Elisabeth Harnois as Morgan Brody
Melinda Clarke as Lady Heather

Original cast member George Eads has opted not to sign on the project, TVLine has learned exclusively.

It’s not clear why Eads opted out — production starts on July 29 in Los Angeles — or whether his absence will be addressed on screen. I’m told the script did not have to undergo a major revamp since Nick — whose storyline was wrapped up in February’s Season 15 finale, Eads’ last episode as a regular — wasn’t critical to the central plot.

Eads’ representative declined to comment for this story. CBS similarly had no comment.

Elisabeth Shue Won't Return for 2-Hour "CSI" Special

Julie Finlay won’t be around when the "CSI" gang reunites this fall.

EW has learned exclusively that Elisabeth Shue, who has played Finlay on the CBS drama since 2012, will not participate in the show-wrapping two-hour special planned for Sept. 27. It’s unclear how the producers will handle Finlay’s absence from the show’s swan song.

It has also been reported that original cast member George Eads is also not returning.
