METV is dropping CHIPS - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

From the lineup starting May 25th! It isn't included in the summer of ME!

I can't believe it. This hasn't even been on a whole year and Hasn't even run through two times!

Yet MASH and Emergency are still on and they have been running forever! Also Andy Griffith on twice a day , two eps at a time!

I like Emergency and CHIPS was so cool to be on right after in the "Rescue me" theme!

I'm ready to jump off a bridge!

Oh wow I thought at least CHiP's was bringing in a younger audience especially females that were into the hunkiness of Ponch and Jon as opposed to the average looking guys from Emergency!

IDK? Maybe the time slot? 6:00 people eating dinner. Or just getting off work and commuting home? Maybe they could try it out in the mornings or evenings ? Just seems a shame not to give it another chance! Plus I will miss my Ponch fix for the day. I already have Season 1 DVD's , I could order the other seasons. Except the last season they don't have! So this means I can never see Bobby "Hotdog" Nelson ever again! I'm sad!!!!!!!

I'm thinking/hoping maybe COZI TV will pick it up? They picked up Dragnet and Adam 12 after METV dropped them!

Bonniegirl, you should get season 2 also. I have one and two and love these first two original seasons. Just pure comradarie with Jon and Ponch. Don't get me wrong, I like S3 and 4 also but by these seasons it wasn't just pure highway patrol work between Jon and Ponch.

But I do love Bonnie. And speaking of Bonnie, did you guys see the latest MeTV promo where Gatrere, Bonnie, Grossie and Harlan all speak and say "Watch me on Me".

Yeah. I will most likely get Season 2!

I love the promos with the CHIPS cast.

Yesterday one came on with just Grossman. And I thought wow, still doing promos when the show is going off the air soon!

On another thread somebody said most likely after "Summer of Me" CHIPS might come back on around September. IDK?

ME-TV is still advertising Chips being on at 6pm despite it being removed

It stinks that it didn't make it thru twice.

I am guessing that it didn't bring home the numbers ME was looking for.

Most of what they air is already out on DVD for die-hard fans; which is why seeing CHiPs was great.

It sucks that they removed this I was just looking for it the other day. I have season 6 I was able to record it the first time around. if you want I can send you copies.

OMG!! REALLY! WOW!!

I wonder if a lot of people complained? Or they realized they didn't need two eps of Emergency! So they are putting CHIPS back at 6:00! I guess Gilligan and Hogan's Heroes will be 5 to 6 and Emergency at 4:00 , or the other way around?

Anyway!! AWESOME SAUCE!!!!!!

Don't know about Hogan, but Gilligan will move to 8:30 AM.

Oh I know what's happening!! They are taking off the morning eps of Andy Griffith I bet. Just running them once a day between 8-9 PM! Hogan will probably be 8AM right before Gilligan than!

I'm really missing Chips on the daily METV lineup! It's the perfect show for the Summer. I'm shocked they took it off.
