"Heroes: Reborn" To Get Tie-in Comic Series
NBC's "Heroes: Reborn" To Get New Tie-in Comic Book (Exclusive)
June 10, 2015 by Graeme McMillan NBC's "Heroes" revival is going beyond the television screen. British-based publisher Titan Comics will be releasing a series of comics based on the series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The new comic book series will be co-written by "Heroes: Reborn" supervising producer Seamus Kevin Fahey and Zach Craley, with art by Rubine. The first five-issue storyline will center around the origin of one of the television series' new characters. The series will be the second comics incarnation of "Heroes"; during the series' original run, DC Entertainment published a series of graphic novels collecting the webcomics created to accompany the show, some of which were written by Craley. Similarly, this will be the second time Fahey has worked on a comic book adaptation of a television show he's written for, following his "Battlestar Galactica" work for Dynamite Entertainment. According to Titan's publishing director Chris Teather, the new comic books are "created in close collaboration with the team behind the NBC show," with Teather describing them as "bonus episodes" to the television series. The series will launch digitally and in comic book stores this October, accompanying the fall launch of the NBC show. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...new-tie-801517 |
