Why is Cosby getting released to DVD in Germany - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know the show was never that popular but why would Germans be buying this on DVD.

If anything release them in America and then do the releases for other countries. I am pretty sure this show got limited to no airings in Germany so to release a DVD set of it is mind boggling

It is like how they released Hannah Montana as a complete series DVD and in America we just got season 1 and 4 on DVD. I do however understand because Hannah Montana was a national icon and her show was very popular.

I can see The Cosby Show getting this type of treatment because that show is aired worldwide. I will never get why Cosby is getting the DVD treatment because I am sure it was no more popular in Germany.

I digress but at least Cosby is back on TV for those of us who still watch his shows.

This is a great year for classics coming out on DVD and coming back on TV. All of my favorites are either airing on retro themed channels or are on DVD.
