That looking back and forth I guess was part of the Rhoda character but she was just looking so crazy

That's what people do reality and it totally works for her and the closing credits as they end. LOL. A nice, natural thing taking place there.

I love the guitar (?) riffs at the beginning of the end theme.

Back in the days when Comedy Central was called Ha!, they re-ran RHODA non-stop it seemed. I remember back then wondering what that closing footage was all about.

Here's my take on it --

It seems as she passes the guy, he says something like maybe: "Lady, you missed your bus." She gives him a look as it to say HOW DOES THIS CREEP EVEN KNOW WHAT BUS I AM TAKING? She then walks towards the buses and it looks like she has just realized that in fact, the bus she wanted to take has already left.

That's my take on it anyway.

Well done. All opinions matter on this topic. Its one of those fun, trivial things to check out.

I never took it that she was confused. To me, it apears she's missed her bus and was debating on how to get home -- wait for a later bus or spend money on a taxi?

Bus? She wasn't on the street she was still walking on the property of the New york Public Library. So she was never in any position to catch a bus

You have nitpicked every post I have made the past 2 days ... get a life.

When Rhoda is exiting the library and steps onto the sidewalk, you can see that to her left are rows of city buses stopped along the curb.

If you've ever been to NYC, you'll know that area is a bus stop. It only goes to reason that she was heading towards the buses when she was exiting the library.

I have to look at it again because she looked like she was still on the Library platform

In the Season 4 opening she poses next to a statue but it looks like some kind of "Alice In Wonderland" statue to me, not a lion.

I see the scene as, Rhoda walks off the steps into the walkway and stops thinking, am I going the right way. She looks around and says I guess I am and keeps going. As for the guy on the steps laughing, people must have great eyes, for I couldn't see him laughing at all.

It's a guy sitting on the steps wearing glasses as she walks by and is starting to laugh as she walks past
