Hi,
If you do a google search for this show, you will find pages and pages of fake bittorrent links, as well as links to the bootleg sites that want you to pay $100++ for poor quality off-air copies of the show. There are however no plans from NBC to release the show on DVD. When a youtube channel appeared, with excerpts from the show on it, the channel disappeared within a few weeks... What is going on here! I am really glad to see that NBC are showing the series again (albeit at 4:30am??), and hope this will make it easier to find good quality copies of the show, by any means possible, seems they wont make legitimate ones available. bye skylark |

I've been checking out my John wishlist on TiVO once a week and I haven't seen any reruns of TJLS listed, just ones for Boston Legal (ugh...).
As for the DVDs, John is well aware of the bootlegs and brought them up a while ago on his Twitter before he departed. I sort of think it's in the pipeline by the way he talked. If the Night Court made-to-order is successful, maybe we'll get a John Show made-to-order as well. |

I read somewhere (here?) that JLS was airing (in the USA) at 4:30am, starting back in July... not sure what night/s... or... states/cities... and I've not been able to figure out the intensely scary US tv guides to confirm/deny the report...
I just found out about John's twitter account - in time to read his post saying he was closing it off... and of course now - it's gone completely. D'oh! Here's hoping the DVD comes sooner rather than later... bye skylark |

Music rights, it seems.
Season 2 episode "Vacation" - an episode often cited as the show's "shark jump" - featured Boyz II Men as guest stars. They performed their new single "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday", a cover of a song first featured in the 1975 film "Cooley High". It's going to be ex-pen-sive to license a 1970s Motown song for DVD. Season 3 episode "Here We Go Again" with the "Golden Girls" reunion/musical. YouTube has the musical portion of that episode, featuring the GG theme song "Thank You for Being a Friend". |
