Right now on the episodes airing on TVLand (end of first season), Mrs. Wilson is said to be visiting her sister. Was the actress playing the role ill, thus missing several episodes?

I saw her today on an ep. The actress could've possibly been ill or was busy.

I have noticed a few episodes where Martha was visiting her sister and always wondered what the reason was.... There where a few episodes in a row where she was missing.... Must have been sick, doubt she was having a baby....lol

This isn't on the topic but I didn't know where else to post without starting a whole new thread. Here is Martha ( Sylvia Fields) when she was young. Wasn't she pretty?

Yes she was....... I just watched the episode I think it was called "The Lucky Piece" where she conspires with Mrs. Mitchell to make George think the lucky coin was bringing Dennis good luck.... She was funny....

Yes!! And she was a sweet older lady too! Very Grandmotherly! I liked her and George Wilson as the Mitchell's neighbors. The show wasn't the same for me when John and Eloise Wilson lived next door!
