I saw the episode this morning where Jack meets Vicky's mother. Part of the plot revolved around the fact that her mother was involved with a Portuguese man named Armando. At one point in the episode Armando appears. He opens his mouth and starts speaking in some sort of weird, made-up accent that sounds nothing like a Portuguese accent. Seriously, if they're going to invent a character who is Portuguese, would it have been that much trouble to find an actor who came mimic a Portuguese accent? If so, the change the character to someone from Spain and give him a Spanish accent. There are plenty of actors who can do that. I've heard the producers of this show were cheap, but this is embarrassing.

For a moment there I thought you were serious, c'mon man it's just a comedy show meant for laughs don't think too much over it.On another note the actor who played Felipe on Three's Company Gino Conforti who is of Italian and Hispanic descent played him as a Mexican with a thick accent but the actor himself speaks English just fine. |
