I just watched the episode "Understanding" for the first time last night and I don't think it ended right. It should have ended with a scene of the suicidal girl recovering at Rampart and Dixie going in her room and having a nice talk with her. Because when Dixie was on the phone with the girl, Dixie seemed very concerned. I think there should've been a follow-up scene with Dixie having a long talk with girl. But in the episode, we're kind of left hanging, not knowing how the girl turned out.
Also, when the records department guy was trying to find more info on the suicidal girl, he had to use a really HUGE machine to sort through the records. That thing made so much racket too! THEN, everyone (including Drs. Early and Brackett) had to hand sort through the papers to find her address! Wow, things are a lot easier nowadays with computers!! What a difference 40 years makes! |
