Default Favorite Christmas episode

Three Christmas episodes were made for the show. Which one is your favorite?

Here's a recap of each episode:

The Christmas Story (Season 1)It's Christmas time and Dennis is going around the house looking for his presents. Henry and Alice think they have the perfect place to hide them, The Wilson's house in Mr. Wilson's closet which works for a while but eventually Dennis figures it out when he goes over to their house.

The Christmas Horse (Season 2)Determined to get a horse for Christmas, Dennis searches the neighborhood trying to find what he thinks is his horse.

The Fifteen-Foot Christmas Tree (Season 3)Dennis, Henry, and Mr. Wilson go out in search of the perfect Christmas tree to chop down. As problems arise, their quest turns into quite an odyssey.

1. The Christmas Story - Classic.

2. The Fifteen-Foot Christmas Tree - Just watched this the other night,as I've been making my way through Season 3.

3. The Christmas Horse - Nice to see Ernest Truex in this one...especially since he was the real-life husband of Sylvia Field at the time!

All three are fine seasonal episodes...wish they would've made one for Season 4!

I wonder why they did not make a Christmas episode in the 4th season?

The Christmas Horse for me- actually the 1st episode I ever saw. Then I like the 15 Foot Christmas Tree. All three are great, though.

Seasons 1, 3 and 2 in that order. I love that first-season episode. I believe that's in the background on an old videotape of Christmas morning at my house growing up, probably from 1988 or 1989.
As for why they didn't do one in the fourth season, great question. That whole season had such a different feel. Maybe the writers figured it wouldn't feel as authentic as the shows from the first three seasons.

I always liked that they had a "Silent Night" tradition in each episode. It is too bad the 4th season didn't have a Christmas themed episode.

Lol

Probably because it was the first time Dennis sang Silent Night, the first season should be my favorite. But the 2nd season show where they go into the woods to get a tree is my personal favorite. For one, Mr. Wilson is so good in this one, trying hard to give Dennis a good Christmas and each time he fails he gives such great reactions. Second for Willard Waterman, who's my favorite because he played Great Gildersleeve on radio and TV, he's in this too making funny remarks about Wilson's tree. To me this is a very enjoyable episode. But the first time Dennis sang Silent Night, was the best version of his song.

Willard Waterman is great in that episode needling Wilson throughout. The scene on the bus with the tree is hilarious. Of the 3 Christmas themed episodes I find that one to be the funniest.

That tree episode is just a real fun one to watch, no matter how many times I see it I love it.

With Christmas just over a month away I watched the Tree episode again. It's funny every time.
