Hallmark Channel’s "Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove" Renewed For Season 2

Hallmark Channel‘s "Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove" has been renewed for a second season. It will premiere in 2014. Based on Macomber’s novels, the Andie MacDowell-starrer has been a ratings hit for Hallmark.

Since the series launched on July 20, Hallmark Channel has been the top-rated cable television network on Saturdays from 8-9 PM, The two-hour series pilot debuted as the No. 1 primetime ad-supported movie of the week and day, delivering a 2.4 household rating with over 3.8 million viewers.

MacDowell, Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Bruce Boxleitner and Barbara Niven will all return for Season 2. The series, filmed in Vancouver, will begin production in 2014.

The drama, starring Andie MacDowell as judge Olivia Lockhart, wrapped its second season earlier this month.
