Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan) has 263,000 followers who hang on to her every post, tweet and selfie. But one lonely day, she has a revelation: being friended is not the same as having actual friends. She asks marketing guru Henry (John Cho) to 'rebrand' her self-obsessed reputation and teach her how to connect with people in the real world. Loosely based on My Fair Lady, Selfie explores the modern struggles of Eliza and Henry, as he tries to teach her how to live life offline - whether she 'likes' it or not.

From the promos, it seems like it might be pretty funny.

i watched the pilot on demand last week - it wasn't completely terrible, and even had a few funny parts. I love Karen Gillan, but it is very weird to see her in this role versus her much more dominant and fun role in Doctor Who. Her accent is somewhat inconsistent throughout the episode and it is a little distracting.

I have not decided if I am going to keep watching yet.

It was a little "blah", didn't really laugh that much except for maybe when during the plane her bag of vomit rips open spilling on her, Karen Gillan is cute enough to watch but won't guarantee me to keep on watching if the writing isn't better.

The OnDemand pilot was a little different than the one that aired tonight!

Just 4.9 million and 4.3 million, respectively, watched ABC’s new romcoms, which is higher than Fox’s “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” but still very low for ABC.
