I used to watch this show all the time when it was on (I'm same age as Maureen so I had a crush on her) and it's a shame it's not remembered in the SF comedy grouping like 3rd Rock, ALF, and Mork and Mindy are. One thing I did not know until I saw this post was Burt Reynolds was the voice of Evie's father Troy. I haven't seen the show in 10 years but I recall the voice and it sure didn't sound like him.

That's funny because I didn't know that Burt Reynolds was the voice of Troy either until I found out online. It didn't sound like him to me either, but what was really weird was in the beginning credits, they never show Burts Reynolds name. Even in the third and fourth season when the showed the picture of the cube and it said "and Troy as himself". Why didn't they just put Burt Reynolds name on the credits instead of saying "and Troy as himself". A little weird but I think maybe the reason they didn't put his name on the credits was because they wanted to keep Troy's indentity a mystery as like on the show. Kinda of an interesting idea.
