I am unsure about a lyric in the opening theme song of Blossom. Is it "Fire up your pad and pencil", or is it "Buy up your pad and pencil"? If I as watching a rerun of Blossom on The Hub Network, the closed captioning would have the lyric as either "Buy up..." or "Fire up..."; this would vary from episode to episode.

I'm almost positive it's "Buy".
I once did research on this because I always thought it was "Fire" but everything I found online pointed to the lyric being "Buy". |

I'm pretty sure it's "Fire up your pad and pencil." It makes sense because the next line is "I'll give you a piece of my mind." You would use a pad and pencil to write down what the singer is saying. This reminds me of scenes in movies and TV shows where the patient is lying on a couch and the psychologist is writing down what the patient is saying.

I totally understand what to "fire up" something means, but I'm not sure what it means to "buy up" something.
