Hi everyone

I was bored, so I typed up the words to the New Leave it to Beaver Rap, which was performed at the NLITB's 3rd? season wrap party by two unknown performers, commemorating 30 years of Leave it to Beaver. It was really cheesy, very 80s, cringe-worthy performance, but oh well. I couldn't figure out some of the words, but this is basically how it went:




Everybody get up and make your hands clap
Get ready for the New Leave it to Beaver rap

We said, everybody get up and let's have some fun
It's Beaver's thirtieth anniversary and they're still number one

About the Beav, it started back in 'fifty seven
The first Cleavers were on the television

So listen up closely to our list of ????
We're going to introduce Beav's mother too

She's America's number one mom, she had knowledge
Working for the city and going to college

For many years she had two young boys
While they were younger, they made a lot of noise

But now the boys are grown up with family's of their own
And Wally's moved away but Beav's still at home

Leave it to Beaver
Leave it to Beaver

Everyone knew from the very start
That Wally would marry his childhood sweetheart

Her name is Mary Ellen and she is a writer
Writing for the paper ??????

Together they have a little girl and boy
Kelly and Kevin, two bundles of joy

While we talk about Wally, kids, and wife,
Let's not forget Beaver too has a family life

Raising two boys hasn't been an easy task
Making sure they have ?????? and attend class

Ollie's twelve, Kip's sixteen (they make a car engine noise)
Life with them hasn't been all peaches 'n cream

Between Ollie, karate, and Kip, band
Beaver's had to keep a grip and understand

Leave it to Beaver

In Mayfield, the Cleaver's have many friends
But for Beaver, Eddie Haskell is not one of them

For many years, Eddie's given advice and wisdom
But it was really bull that he was giving them

Taking the easier way in life
Having a company and a wife

Eddie was lucky too, marrying a lady named Gert
Even though she's pretty, he treats her like dirt

Freddie and Bomber are his two young rascals
Proving them everyday to be the perfect Haskells

Freddie the guitarist is extraordinary
Bomber was bad, sent off to military

But before we finish, before we end
Let's not forget there's another friend

He is not Dumpy
He is not Klumpy
You all know him better as Lumpy

So now you've heard the New Leave it to Beaver rap
About the show that's put Mayfield on the map

So now you know what you should do
Stand and applaud the cast and crew

Wow, you're right that IS really cheesy! I've never even knew there was a rap for the show before. I want to hear what it sounds like!
