You're a real class act, Janice. These actors are on TV worldwide, and that leaves them open to criticism. If they don't like it, too bad! They chose acting.

yeah, she kinda annoyed me too. it seems alot of late 90's sitcoms had the wife be the know-it-all and the husband got dumped on. It's funny once in a while, but not all the time. Just my opinion folks.

I have to agree with you on this one. Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad do have a
great chemistry, and I think each show can stand on its own merits. THE
COSBY SHOW was a tough act to follow, and to do anything remotely good is
comparable to when Paul McCartney left The Beatles and formed the new band
Wings.

Since they both did another show together as a married couple, that means the Cosby Show should have stayed on until Rudy went to College-lol So the Cosby would have ended in 1996 instead of 1992

I always thought it was cheating - creatively speaking - to have Bill and Phylicia once again playing husband and wife.

I remember thinking: What is the angle of this show...Cliff and Clair go slumming??

Makes you wonder why did the Cosby Show end in 92 if Bill and Phylicia starred in another show together-lol The Cosby Show could have ran until 96

I'm guessing that maybe they couldn't find someone else and Phylicia took the offer because she probably wasn't working.

Actually, it really is Cliff and Clair Huxtable. They went into witness protection after Denise returned and went on a killing rampage. That show didn't have the staying power of the old Cosby - I think it got cancelled after four seasons.

I have to agree. Bill and Phylicia were great together on both the "The Cosby Show" and on "Cosby." I always thought they had good chemistry.

I like them as a couple on a different sitcom; they are almost like a real husband and wife, it's kind of cute, even.

I wish this series were on DVD. I'd be really happy to get it.

I like it just fine- Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad have great chemistry together and I'm sure they were playing on the fans of The Cosby Show and hoping to draw them in to watching Cosby. (It certainly worked for me- lol.)
And maybe they just wanted to work together again. In any case, in some ways, I just viewed Cosby as a sequel series to The Cosby Show. Sure, the names are different and the jobs and house are different, but a lot of the interactions and relationship felt the same.
In any case, I think it's a great show- it'd be wonderful to see this out on DVD too. (I also loved Doug E. Doug on it- he did a great job on the show- along with Madeline Kahn. Both were funny characters.)

I'm pretty sure Bill Cosby had full creative control, I was lazy and didn't view all the three previous threads, but I recall (only from memory) another actress was cast (and the pilot was shot) but something didn't work.

Cosby was okay and did just that...it was okay.

Besides, Murphy Brown was falling fast and then new Les Mooves took an unusual approach following the success of Letterman to reach out to old NBC stars of the 1980's.
