When I was growing up, the 'Greasers' (I'm not using the term pejoratively--I had friends across the entire social spectrum)--they didn't have a set style of dress, and some kids, you couldn't tell which group they belonged to just by looking at what they wore (I know this departs from the thread but since we were on the general topic of styles) thought I'd bring it up--as for your observation, I hadn't noticed that before about Happy Days.

What I LOVED about Happy Days was the early seasons.

What I disliked? Season 10 was so sad and pathetic how they tried to substitute, Roger for Richie, Flip for Ralph I guess, insert Jenny Picolo from out of no where, Potsie hanging around but too old to be this stupid any longer. Just look at the difference between young and cool, and old and washed up. It's like when you see a once great athlete who should have retired years ago still playing and barely a shell of their former self.

There are so many differences in more than the jacket. Older brother Chuck Cunningham? Where did he go? The street view of the house has the garage and Fonzie's apartment on the right. But the studio layout of the interior would place the garage and apartment on the left. The house in the first two seasons was laid out entirely different. It is laid out correctly.

What I found amusing how to fill the void after they created Joannie Loves Chiachi they started adding Jenny, Flip, and K.C. then they vanish without explanation when Joannie and Chiachi return because they're show got cancelled. We all know because Happy Days thought they were too many characters on after they're return so someone had to get the ax.

Ironically, this intro of these 3 to the show in Season 10 is fitting because ALL THREE of them would be bye bye in season 11!

Now that I have ALL the episodes and watched them again recently I know know why Episodes like:
s5ep88 Happy Days Hollywood Part part1,2,3
s6ep01 - Westward Ho parts 1,2,3
were my least favorite. Why? It wasn't so much the story or the offsite location but because Fonzie acted like such a selfish Jerk in these episodes. Which makes even the later seasons like Season 10 and season 11 better in my opinion that these specific episodes.

Fonzie has a very high moral code. He always treats others with respect and sticks up for those that can't defend themselves. When they had him acting like a selfish Jerk it was a huge turnoff. Regardless by the end of the episode he turned it around, it still was so uncharacteristic of him that it makes you lose respect for the character. I dunno, just my opinion I suppose?

I began a post awhile back explaining why I have never liked this show or its sister program Laverne and Shirley.

I loved Happy Days but I stopped watching after Ron Howard left. The whole show revolved around him and continuing the show without him made no sense.

Even in later Richie years the show started to wane some but the only thing I really hated about the show was Chachi. I hated everything Chachi. I hated his name, I hated his cloying personality, I hated that he was inserted into a major role for no reason that I saw. But the main reason I hated him and his success was that I thought Spike was 100 times better. The kid who played Spike was a much better actor, the character was more more realistic and interesting, and this annoying Scott Baio had this great life while Danny Butch was a nobody.
