Tony Shalhoub Joins "Nurse Jackie" Season 7 in Recurring Role
by Michael Slezak August 20, 2014 Nurse Jackie‘s Emmy muscle just got even stronger. Tony Shalhoub — a three-time Emmy winner (and eight-time nominee) for "Monk" — has landed a recurring role on Season 7 of Showtime’s dark comedy, opposite four-time champ Edie Falco and one-time winner Merritt Wever. (Whew!) Shalhoub will play Dr. Bernard Prince, a new ER doctor who in addition to having “a great bedside manner and a special touch with his boss, Gloria Akalitus (Anna Deavere Smith),” will offer Jackie some desperately needed friendship.
