We all know that DG spanned both the characters' high school and college years to some degree. I was wondering if fans familiar with DG's episodes noticed any difference in how the social life of Dobie (or even Mayanard) is portrayed during these different periods. Does the college (and/or the army period) reflect more freedom in terms of dating life (whereabouts, hours, activities...)? I know this is considered a "G" rated type show and the fifties and all that, but, also, do the college/army periods convey any more possible suggestiveness in terms of what can be "going on" or even perhaps "permitted" in terms of the dating scene? Thanks.
