In season 2 "Dennis goes to camp" at the beginning he walks into the kitchen with a metal lunch box and talks about coming home from school and we are to assume that it is Friday as the next day he is driven to check out a summer camp with Mr. Wilson and troop... There were many school references but they were kept brief and were not part of the plot except the Proxy episode where Mr. Wilson went to school and was voted by Dennis to be his best friend... Mentions of school were brief and most episodes seem to be situated on a Saturday......

Dennis went on and got his education. That episode with Mr. Wilson participating as a student annoyed me a bit. I didn't like the way that teacher addressed Mr. Wilson #2. Talking to the man as though he was a child. I would have put up with that mess.

I always figured that most all of the episodes took place on a Saturday which also explains why we see Dennis in those same play clothes.

He gets into so much mischief outside of school they didn't want him in school.

In "Mr. Wilson's Safe," when Dennis is asked to name some important dates, one of them is July 12. He says that's because that's the day school gets out! Man, rough to have such a short summer vacation!
