Default What does the title of this series mean?

I remember many years ago this show was listed at odd hours, but I can't remember watching it. Nevertheless, I have read it is about a widow who lives with her son and daughter-n-law (or is it daughter and son-n-law?) and there is comedy between them and her neighbors, and sometimes it's about getting the widow remarried. So is that it?-- wanting to make her a bride again in her old age ["December"]?

Yes, that's it. By the way, like a lot of early television shows, this one began on radio.

I sure wish this show would air somewhere. I've always wanted to see it.

I only saw one episode, and that was around 1960. It was in daytime reruns
even then. So, I don't really remember anything about it (except the title).
My sources tell me Spring Byington starred in it.

For one of the biggest hits of the 50s, this one has largely remain obscure.

Yes, it's too bad it's not seen more often. It was a wonderful show. I have about 50 episodes, poor quality for the most part, but it's such a joy to watch. Harry Morgan was a huge part of the show and so funny.

That's about 49 more episodes than I have seen.....The only time I've seen this was several years ago when TV Land was saluting Paramount's big annivesary. This was not in reruns in my area when I was growing up.

So I'm not the only one who missed out on December Bride. It seems that with Harry Morgan in the cast the repeats should go over well... there must be a reason this series has been left behind?
