Hayden Panettiere Says She Knows Nothing about "Heroes" Reboot: "I Wasn't Asked"

Hayden Panettiere Has Not Been Asked to Be in "Heroes" Reboot

As most "Heroes" fans already know, NBC will be reviving the popular show in 2015 with a 13-episode miniseries event titled "Heroes: Reborn".

And while it remains to be seen who exactly will be in it, one person who apparently won't be appearing in the reboot is none other than Hayden Panettiere, aka cheerleader Claire Bennet.





The 24-year-old actress, who currently stars on ABC's "Nashville", told Cosmopolitan she didn't know the sci-fi program was even coming back to the airwaves until a family member informed her.

"Well, it was a shock to me," Panettiere said. "In fact, I believe I became privy to that through my cousin. She sent me a text message about it."

"I mean, we had nothing, nothing to do with it," she continued. "It will definitely be interesting to see how they reinvent it."





Panettiere added, "I think it's a whole new set of characters. Who knows? It's a little bit of an interesting feeling because you go, 'That was our show, our home, our family,' something that we had a major part in creating."

"I hope that they don't have somebody else playing our characters, that would be a little dagger in the heart. But, you never know. I wish them success in it, for sure."
