What did you think of the season finale?

I was surprised they made Melanie pregnant. I'm guessing that when Sesaon 5 starts it will turn out that she was given the wrong news. I would be surprised if they really make the character pregnant.

Now that Season 5 of Hot in Cleveland has started, I wanted to see how they were possibly gonna deal with Melanie's pregnancy. Was the pregnancy mentioned in last night's "live" episode which started off season 5?

How old is her character? Didn't think Melanie was in age group to have another child. I do notice they give Joy a dig about her chest. Wendie looks very slim.

I would think the Melanie character is somewhere in her 40s (presumably late 40s) and she already has two college-aged children.

(I got that info from the Hot in Cleveland wiki.)

I loved this one-off episode.

I think though more answers will be on the 2nd episode this week.

and Alex Trebek was a real hoot...who knew he had a sense of humor.

This week's will deal with the pregnancy. I kind of knew it wouldn't happen in the live show, but it was funny when Alex introduced it. He was awesome!

On the 2 April 2014 episode of Hot in Cleveland, titled "Surprise", Melanie tells Alec about her pregnancy, only to find that Alec has already moved on to another girlfriend (played by Jaime Pressly). Melanie later learns that her pregnancy test was a false positive, caused by a tumour in her pituitary gland.

In other words, Melanie is not actually pregnant and is supposed to get an operation on her pituitary gland tumour.
