This show didn't last long at all. It was about Gena played Sheena, she was a woman who fought evil in the woods kinda like Tarzan. She lived in the woods. She has a nice body & she's also cute. I started watching this show cause of her. She caught my eye. I didn't know she played on Baywatch until i did some research on her. How old is Gena? Is she single?

"Sheena" is based on an old comic book series that was extremely popular during World War two about a robust female Tarzan, her "mate" Bob Reynolds, and her pet chimpanzee "Chim", and their somewhat typical jungle adventures in the African rain forests of popular fiction, enlivened even more by Sheena's decidedly skimpy (even by 1940's standards) jungle girl outfit (essentially a leopard-print bra-and-panties set.)
"Sheena" also started a trend in comics with all sorts of scantily-clad jungle heroines...Rulah, Zegra, Tiger Girl, Camilla, Cave Girl, Judy of the Jungle, Lorna, the jungle Queen, etc., that lasted into the mid-1950s before the trend was played out (and the Comics Code Authority put a stop to depictions of half-naked women in the comics, dang it!) There was an earlier tv version of "Sheena" in the late 1950s,(which I've never seen) with model Irish McCalla in the lead role, and it ran for maybe a year, year-and-a-half at most; episodes can be found on video. There was also a somewhat forgettable film adaption in 1984 with Tanya Roberts ("Charlie's Angels" and "That 70s Show") in the lead, about which the less said, the better. The current tv version decided to make a big change in Sheena's character by giving her the power to transform into animals, something she DIDN'T do in the original comics. And instead of wimpy Bob Reynolds, she was given a two-fisted mercenary boyfriend named "Cutter", who, apparently was there to be the male in the show. She was also given a mother figure, who was also an African Shaman who taught Sheena how to transform into animals. Now, you'd think with all these new elements, the show would be a big hit, but its cheesy production values and lacklustre stories made such shows as "Relic Hunter" and "V.I.P." seen almost Speilbergian by comparison. Geena Lee Nolin has appeared in"Playboy", "FHM", and "Maxim" in the last year or two; you can search their respective websites for more info. (and *drool* pictures!!)
