Color vs. B&W season 2

Okay, I know many of you will disagree with me on this, but I really like the seasons with Vivian Vance to be in B&W. I know season 2 was originally filmed in color and that's why the DVD is in color. And it's neat seeing Lucy in color, but the first season B&W episodes just seem to have that classic TV look to them.

It does seem different seeing Lucy in color in Season two since they where in black and white in season one. But, I think they look good in color course they don't look to bad in black and white either.

What I did was turn the color on my tv all the way down and watch some episodes from season two in black and white. I also, had the vantage setting on so I can see what it was like back when the show first came on.

The only thing that bothers me, is that Lucy and Viv have way to much make-up and lipstick on. From what I understand they just caked it on so it shows up in B&W, which is how it was televised, even though they filmed in color.

I don't disagree at all. I just got through watching the season two episode, and I was thinking the same thing. I honestly don't know why they chose to film in color, if it was going to be televised in black and white anyway – which it was. It seems to me that all three seasons featuring Vivian Vance, the house, and the kids, should be in black and white – as it adds to connectivity. The color episodes shouldn't of started until the format changed. That way, the change in appearance of the show could coincide with the change in format. Otherwise, watching the show in black and white one season, and switching it to color the next season just seems strange… It seems so… Uncomfortable, in a way.
