Mira Sorvino Joins TNT’s "Falling Skies"

Mira Sorvino is set to recur on the fourth season of TNT‘s popular alien invasion drama "Falling Skies", set for a summer 2014 premiere.

She will play Sara, a woman far removed from her former life as a graphic designer who is now dogged by death at every turn, yet she has never felt more alive, free or fearless.

A chance encounter with guerrilla fighter John Pope (Colin Cunningham) leads her to join the resistance and develop a strong personal bond with the outlaw-turned-warrior.

Get ready for a gun-toting, wisecracking Mira Sorvino. The Oscar winner joins TNT's "Falling Skies" this summer for a multi-episode arc as Sara, who seems to be the perfect match for bad boy John Pope (Colin Cunningham).

"She's a ballsy, brash woman with a complicated past. She proves to be a worthy foil — and ultimately a love interest — for Pope," says executive producer David Eick. "They have a classic love-hate dynamic."

Sara survived the alien invasion on an isolated farm, and, like everyone, says Eick, "she has her secrets, weaknesses, hypocrisies and vulnerabilities."

Our advice? Pope should watch his tattooed back.
