Poppo and Mommo

TPDS really paid the most respect to TV fathers. While I like Will Schallart very much, there were just too many Poppo and Patty moments, as they were called. If Martin Lane had been a widower, this would have been fine, but Mommo seldom got the same amount of attention. I think they could have played up more Mommo and Patty moments or even just given Mommo more lines.

Jean Byron was great. I loved the way she delivered a zinger line every now and then, most often to her husband. I didn't realize that they were still filming married couples in separate beds when TPDS was airing.
