Default I have questions....

I just can't stop noticing this, but everytime there's cooking going on in the kitchen I ALWAYS notice that there are NO KNOBS on the electric stove.....And where's the oven that goes with it?

And how come sometimes when the front door is open, you can see the street, but other times you see the front stoop of the house across the street which seems soclose?

And when Martin came home from work the other day, he parked his car in a parking lot next to another car, but later we see him in the GARAGE - where the hell is it?

And whatever happened to Tiger?

The most logical answer to this question is: The dog was probably too difficult to train, was causing problems on the set so they decided to write it out of the show. I don't know for sure if this is what really happened, just my guess.

What about the house?!?!?! There was an episode where the family did not want their house becoming a historical landmark and also another episode where they wanted to stay in the neighborhood instead of moving to Paris.

Suddenly all that changed in season 3 with a new house and furnishing....the other house they allegedly loved so much is never mentioned again.

That's the world of TV for you, nothing said is ever intended to be taken seriously, anything and everything is always subject to change. In the case of The Patty Duke Show, production locale changed for the 3rd and final season, and suddenly the family was living in a different house.

Lightbulb A whole range of features on electric stoves!

Traditionally, electric ranges have control knobs on the backsplash of the stove, rather than the front panel as gas stoves do. And, from the early 1950s through the mid 1960s, General Electric's top-of-the-line ranges had "keyboard controls" in which rows of pushbuttons represented the range of heat available, from OFF through HIGH. I don't remember what kind of stove the Lane family used, but I do remember in the cake-baking episode, both girls got splattered with flying batter from a Sunbeam Mixmaster stand mixer (it appears in the S2 open).
