But J&C starred two adolecsent 20-somethings you'd think the writing would be more adult-ier? |

For a minute there, I thought I was in the IMDB forums... The show was cancelled over 25 years before anyone knew Baio's political views. Almost 15 years before the internet went mainstream. It was thoroughly lambasted as a punch line for a bad show before anyone knew Baio's political views. It's just not a good show. It was a bad idea. The only reason it's coming out on DVD is due to the Happy Days connection. They know the hardcore HD fans will buy it for the sake of "completeness". Very few other people will ever buy it. It's the same with Three's a Crowd, the Three's Company spinoff with John Ritter. Not a good show; cancelled after one season and deservedly so. As a big Three's Company fan, if they released it on DVD tomorrow, I'd buy it. Some would say the same thing about The Ropers. It wasn't a great show but I thought it was much better than Three's a Crowd and I'd love an official release. And I sadly admit, I'll be buying Joanie Loves Chachi too... Only for the fact that some of the Happy Days regulars guest-starred in a few episodes.
