Default Oh dear God. I want to punch Flash.

I don't remember watching the episodes with this clown when I watched the original run. Probably because his episodes aired while I was in the mist of moving to a new city and didn't really have time to watch TV.

I didn't watch them on ABC family either. And, maybe that's a good thing.

This guy is grating my nerves. Why did they try to have a Cody replacement in the first place. You cannot replace Cody. Especially with a guy who's voice is higher than Brendan's. I mean, seriously. This dude sounds a wee bit like a 9 year old imitating a penguin in distress. Not to mention the bad acting. Anyone else feel the same?

He's only in four or five episodes so all his episodes should've aired by now. I don't think it's that hard to have a higher voice than Brendan, his voice changed at the start of the fifth season and he's supposed to be like ten years old!

I always felt that Flash ruined the Disney World episodes. I'm glad he was only in a few episodes.

Why did Cody leave?

Flash is what happens when one of your main actors is suddenly arrested and you've already produced the scripts: you quickly hire some guy to be the replacement and change a few of the lines to make him fit.

The producers were scrambling, and it shows. They felt they still needed a wacky sidekick character.

I guess I must be in the minority because I loved Flash. I preferred him over the Jean Luc character.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. Cody was indeed the best character though of the whole show.

I liked flash as well. I had no issue with him at all. I loved Jean Luc too. I know that Bronson ended up leaving and then did "Meego" the next season with, along with SBS went to CBS.

Yeah I kinda liked Jean-Luc. I didn't really care for Flash but he was only in a few eps so I don't mind him that much.

I'm not a fan of Jean-Luc or Flash. For me, they were examples of Miller-Boyett clinging to the tired idea of getting a "wacky sidekick" to replace the wacky sidekick who had just been kicked to the curb.

If they felt they couldn't keep Sasha Mitchell on, why replace him with a thinly-veiled replacement character, only to replace that one as well, almost immediately?

I liked Flash and thought he was ok. I don't hate him and see no reason to do so. That's just my two cents.

Personally, I LOVED Flash in the Disney World episodes! He was one of the best parts! (I really got into the idea of trying to hold the world record for going to all the Disney World attractions.)
And I'm pretty sure Cody left because Sasha Mitchell had some legal issues going on, regarding domestic violence....

They probably saw that Flash didn't work out very quickly, so a new character (who was never trying to be a carbon copy of Cody, fortunately enough) was introduced.
Jean-Luc was never a favorite of mine either, but I feel that he still worked out better than Flash.

I see your point, but I felt like they didn't even need a Wacky Sidekick character. They had enough established characters as it was, and even kicked Brendan to the curb.
