Exclusive: NBC's "Grimm" Casts E.T. Mom, "Friday Night Lights" Coach as Monroe's Parents

We’re about to find out whether or not the Blutbad falls far from the tree: "Grimm" has cast Monroe’s parents.

Dee Wallace and Chris Mulkey will play the Wesen’s mom and dad, Alice and Bart, later this season, TVLine has learned exclusively.



Before the season began, series co-creator/executive producers David Greenwalt told TVLine that the clock enthusiast’s folks would make an appearance related to Monroe and Rosalee’s much buzzed-about wedding.

“They’re a little old-fashioned,” Greenwalt warned, implying that Monroe’s purist folks may not like the idea of their son being romantically involved with a Fuchsbau — and friends with a Grimm.

We hear that Monroe has to convince his parents to open up to his way of life or risk destroying his relationship with them.
