OMG
I can't believe what I saw. I watched the first episode on DVD last week and Gidget on that surfboard should never have made it past censors. I was very surprised. If you have that episode watch it. It's almost, if not the first scene.

And to think that at the same time, NBC was telling Screen Gems they had to cover up Barbara Eden's navel for "I Dream of Jeannie"!
