Great Scott! "The Michael J. Fox Show" may be welcoming Christopher Lloyd.

A fan asked Michael J. Fox on Twitter, "do you and Christopher Lloyd still hang out / keep in touch?"

Fox answered back, "Newsflash: he's shooting next weeks' episode."

There's a good chance that means Mr. Lloyd is directing the episode rather than appearing in it since he works mostly as a director these days.

NBC's "The Michael J. Fox Show" is staging a Back to the Future reunion.

Christopher Lloyd, who played bumbling genius Dr. Emmett Brown in the three Universal features, has booked a visit to his former co-star's freshman comedy, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Lloyd will guest-star as the eccentric principal at the high school where Annie (Betsy Brandt) teaches and will go toe-to-toe with Mike (Michael J. Fox).

The role is currently set for just one episode and it is scheduled to air in the spring.

Great Scott! NBC's "The Michael J. Fox Show" is going Back to the Future in the spring when Christopher Lloyd reunites with the former Marty McFly and guest stars on the freshman comedy and The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive first look.

Lloyd, who played bumbling genius Dr. Emmett Brown in the three Universal features, will guest star as the eccentric principal at the high school where Annie (Betsy Brandt) teaches and will go toe-to-toe with Mike (Fox).

From the early preview, it looks like the old friends could wind up working side by side in what appears to be a wicked game of a laser tag.

A formal air date for Lloyd's appearance has not yet been announced.
