This thread makes me want to cry! I can remember watching "Wagon Train" on The Family Channel with my parents when I was a kid. It was the first place I saw "Father Knows Best."

I miss the old Family Channel.

For those who know me that I like tradition and whatnot but I do think UP, which was GMC has taken over what the Family Channel used to be.

To me CBN was the less publicized sister of Nick at Nite. Their late 80s evening block was stunning:Burns and Allen, Jack Benny, You Bet Your Life (with Groucho), and Laurel and Hardy back to back! Plus Nanny and the Professor, Family Affair, Doris Day, and scads of Westerns--stuff the local channels and other networks never would have though of. (Didn't Green Acres air there too or is my memory faulty?)

Ahh yes the early 90's I remember getting to watch Inspector Gadget and at timeslots like 7pm which I thought was unusual since most cartoons are aired in the afternoons.

And 60's Batman and C.O.P.S.

I do remember the old Family Channel, they even used the Dr. John's version of "Accentuate the Positive" as promotion for The Family Channel...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTMWNWrE3Uc

I hope to buy a TV Station one day and It'll have the BEST of all TV Worlds and it'll be like Family Channel, TBS, USA, and WGN so it'll be a Superatation.
