Can't remember 80's sitcom PLEASE HELP!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It was a time long ago when Webster and Perfect Strangers was on primetime. I swear on my life that there was a new sitcom about the first black American president but it was only on the air for a short while. All my friends tell me I made it up. Maybe I did but I need to know for sure. If anyone remembers this show let me know....and don't say Benson!!!

The 1987 animated series Spiral Zone is the first television show in history to show a serious depiction of an African-American president of the United States in the episode The "Imposter".

There was also "Dag" that was on in 2000-2001. It starred David Alan Grier. He wasn't the president, but he was a Secret Service Agent for the President (David Rasche).

There was a sitcom in 1986 called He's the Mayor. The mayor was black. Maybe you're thinking of that one. It aired on Fridays on ABC.
