EW has learned exclusively that mega singer Josh Groban will appear the sixth episode of the CBS comedy’s freshman season. But unlike Kelly Clarkson, who appears in the pilot as herself, Groban will play a “nerdy guy” whose crush on Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Sydney is so intense he writes, produces, and performs a “creepy song about her,” according to casting scoop.
