I wonder if he enjoyed doing the episode "Patty Meets A Celebrity" ?
I re watched the episode a few days ago on my Season 2 dvd and it looked like he smirked when his manager mentioned that Patty & Cathy look alike in the living room scene. An obvious body double was used for Cathy in that same scene. Just a random observation from a PDS fan.

I always liked the ending to that episode, where the family is at the table, concerned about the psychological harm to Patty's ego over her disastrous performance the previous evening, but Patty comes down, chirpy and happy-go-lucky as ever... and then placing ALL the blame on Mineo! That's Patty Lane for ya!

Yes Sal was a cutie!!!! And I still believe he smirked or was even amused by doing this show.
