Hey everyone,
I'm new to the Happy Days forum, but not sitcomsonline. I've been concentrating on other collections, but have finally got time to work on my Happy Days collection. I have purchased seasons 1-4 on DVD and also purchased a Happy Days set that someone put together on ioffer. I have also downloaded Love American Style - The Happy Days from Youtube as well as the original "All the Way." (with a different Joanie) and burned them to DVD. I also have some reunion specials (1992 and 2005 I believe - not at home at the moment). I just finished watching season 1 and I'm starting season 2 today. How does the DVD set compare to the syndication episodes? Are they more complete? Less cut scenes? I guess I'll have to do a side by side viewing. Reading the Wiki and other publications I have noticed that there were a few episodes, other than "All the way," where there were alternate endings (the original endings and those made for syndication). Are these original endings available anywhere? I seem to have the syndication endings. I'm specifically talking about: 1. Season 5 - My Favorite Orkan 2. Season 7 - Shotgun Wedding - Looking to get part 2 from Laverne & Shirley Season 5 3. Season 9 - Love and Marriage Are these alternate endings available to the public? If so, how can I get them? I have also read a few posts on this forum and noticed that there was another Pilot called "New Familly in Town." Is this available? Is it actually the Love American Style episode just titled differently? Lastly, I see there is an alternate introdution to the episode "Guess Who's Coming to Christmas." I'm not sure which one I have, but are they both available? Sorry for the long dragged out post and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me on the availability of the mentioned material. Thanks everyone, Chris |
