Default Chachi (uh, Scott Baio) in Spike TV's Finish Line as a villain...

Well, this is a first unless you count Bob Loblaw or however you pronouce it. Only person that could pronounce cars in a Brooklynese accent. It'll premier on April 21st. Well, I can imagine him as a jock, love interest, jerk lawyer, disturbed individual, kid gangster, etc....but I can't imagine Scott as a villain above all people.

SCOTT BAIO'S REVIEWS FOR "FINISH LINE":

"PROS: Scott Baio does some decent work in this film."

"The feature is slick and stocked with enough gonzo acting
to prevent it from becoming a complete letdown.
Scott Baio and Samuel Page bring some pretty good stuff to their roles.
As the heavy, Baio sneers and saunters and talks trash
and chomps on his cigar and dumps 10 gallons of hair product onto his skull.
His performance is goofy sure but not so over-the-top where it becomes a joke."

"Even though it may be hard to take Scott Baio seriously as a menacing crimelord,
he ultimately doesn't do that bad of a job.
I'll readily admit that I spent most of the movie
waiting for him to tell someone that he was 'in charge' (it doesn't happen)
but looking back, he was just sleazy enough to pull off the character."
- Starscream Game Vortex Communications, a.k.a. Ricky Tucker
(www.psillustrated.com)

"FINISH LINE is the perfect example of a trashy yet consistently entertaining action film.
What makes this film really entertaining are the performances.
Scott Baio chews the scenery with aplomb.
He provides a lifetime's worth of cheesy entertainment and is great fun to watch."
- Joe Rickey

BEST CAMEO: Scott Baio in the movie "Cursed"
(Best of 2005, www.jamesvanvalkenburgh.com)

SCOTT BAIO:
"It was a chance to work with some good people.
But playing yourself is always fairly risky
because you gotta watch how you goof on yourself.
I told them (director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson):
'You guys can make fun of me all you want.
But please keep it to where it's not completely insulting.'
They said: 'Scott, whatever you want to change, let us know.'
As it turned out, we didn't have to change a thing."

BEST CAMEO: Scott Baio in the movie "Cursed"
(Best of 2005, www.jamesvanvalkenburgh.com)

"An inexplicable yet highly amusing cameo by Scott Baio."
(Amanda Giarratano, www.michalak.org)

"On top of all that, there's an amusing cameo by Scott Baio as himself."
(Matthew Turner, www.viewlondon.co.uk)

"Scott Baio does rather well in his cameo
especially since the joke involves him being
third guest behind Ashton Kutcher and Carrot Top
on an episode of The Late, Late Show."
(Lori Ann Chauvette, www.keenequinox.com)

"The saving grace of the film comes from it's sly humor.
Some of the best jokes are subtle, such as
Scott Baio's publicist being named Joanie.
Baio played Chachi in the TV spin-off 'Joanie Loves Chachi'."
(Padraic Maroney, www.wcuquad.com)

BEST CAMEO: Scott Baio in the movie "Cursed"
(Best of 2005, www.jamesvanvalkenburgh.com)

"An ironic appearance by Scott Baio.
It seems the self-deprecating cameo is
the gag du jour for horror movies."
(Matthew Hays, www.montrealmirror.com)

"Scott Baio makes a mildly self-deprecating cameo and lends
his aura of so-lame-its-hip pop culture irreverence to the whole film.
'Cursed's writing may not measure up to that of any film in the 'Scream' trilogy
but those who prefer camp over intentional comedy will appreciate
Wes Craven's 'whatever sticks' approach to reviving his movie.
Plus, it's got some Baio in it."
(Jeremy C. Fox, www.pajiba.com)

"The foray into Craig Kilborn's office offers
a fine self-deprecating cameo by Scott Baio."
(jarvococker, www.epinions.com)

BEST CAMEO: Scott Baio in the movie "Cursed"
(Best of 2005, www.jamesvanvalkenburgh.com)

"The most genuinely funny thing in the movie
is Scott Baio's cameo as Scott Baio."
(Johnny Betts, www.themoviemark.com)

"I admit it was pretty funny when
Scott Baio heroically pulled that woman
out of the werewolf's path."
(Barbara May, www.they'recoming.com)

"All that said, I still found some enjoyable parts in the film.
I especially enjoyed the whole Scott Baio cameo.
Nothing funnier than 'Chachi' references."
(Carey Ann Pawsey, www.hour.co)

BEST CAMEO: Scott Baio in the movie "Cursed"
(Best of 2005, www.jamesvanvalkenburgh.com)

"And then there are surprise cameo casting stunts
like Shannon Elizabeth and Scott Baio
who are generous at poking fun at themselves."
(Sean Chanel, www.cinecon.com)

"You even have Scott Baio and Lance Bass playing themselves.
I was really surprised to see Baio allow himself to be made fun of in this movie."
(Scott Chitwood, www.comingsoon.net)
