This is very sad news.

The Farmer's Daughter is one of my favorite shows. I've been re-watching some old recordings these past few weeks, so I've been thinking a lot about him.
Mr. Windom was the last surviving adult cast member.

The boys who played the sons are the only regular cast members alive now.
They would be in their late fifties and early sixties now.

I do vaguely remember My world and Welcome to it. With in few years, his tv daughter Lisa Gerrison would go on to play Bess Lindstrom on Mary Tyler Moore.

Agree 100% Sony could have found a whole new audience for this show, one that would have wanted DVDs of it as well, if they would have bothered remastering the show and allowing Antenna TV to rerun it! Case in point, Bachelor Father is gaining new fans now and there is a Facebook page campaigning for a DVD release.

I only remember him from the guest appearance he did on "The Partridge Family". It was the episode where the family was hired to do a TV commercial and he somehow convinced them to dress up in chicken outfits. They looked completely hilarious but it did have a nice ending so it wasn't too bad.

I always enjoy seeing stars in their early years. Just yesterday saw on Highway Patrol, Jeanne Cooper, Corbin Bernsen's mother . Jeanne later gain fame on one of the daytime soap operas.

I remember him on 1 episode of Barney Miller he had dynamite strapped to his body, he played a good character in that episode too.

I just saw William in 2 episodes of the Donna Reed show. It is so nice to see actors in their earlier years.
