The blog says Cougar Town was picked up for a fourth and fifth season. That is incorrect, TBS only ordered a fourth season.

i read on twitter that it is also coming back for a 5th sseason per a tweet from bill lawerence

TBS did order a fifth season, although it's been hush hush for some reason. It was in the original press release on Deadline back in May, then rapidly taken down with it instead saying "renewed for a fourth season with an option for additional seasons." The acquisition wasn't in TBS's favor without season 5. They need it to surpass 88 episodes (they'll have 91 following season 5). Bill Lawrence all but confirmed this on Twitter a short while ago following the season 4 premiere.

I've been enjoying this season glad it will get another season it's still funny.
