Were they married ? My Two Dads hinted that Marcy Bradford, Michael Taylor ( Paul Reiser ), and Joey Harris ( Greg Evigan ) were all single, and Marcy Bradford didn't know which who Nicole's father was .

No. Michael and Joey were not in any form of civil union or marriage. They were also not homosexual. "My Two Dads" had this as its premise- both these guys had romantic feelings for a woman named Marcy. Sadly, neither one ever actually married her. However, both apparently had sexual encounters with her at some point, one of which resulted in the birth of Nicole. When Nicole is 12, her mother dies and a judge decides that she will live with her father- the only problem is tracking down just who her father is. Both Michael and Joey are the likely candidates and so they do a DNA test- but Nicole destroys the results before they can know, stating that she'd rather not know herself. So all three move into Joey's place and Nicole considers both men her two dads, hence the name of the show.
So then there's the premise of the show- the inherent funniness that must accompany two single men trying to raise a teenage daughter. (Of course, I'm sure a "My Two Moms" show with the same sort of premise wouldn't be nearly as funny as stereotypically mothers are much better at housework and child-rearing, etc.) I don't believe the show ever reveals who the real father is in the end, though the judge definitely knows as she read the results of the DNA test but never revealed it either, in accordance with Nicole's wishes. It's a pretty bizarre premise for a TV series, but for whatever reason, I found it to be a pretty funny show as a kid and I liked it well enough. I haven't seen it in a long time, but Shout! Factory has released Seasons 1 and 2 to DVD, so now most of the episodes are available for this late '80s sitcom. (If only Season 3 could get released so that the whole series would be available on DVD.) |

Come to think of it, Michael's last name was "Taylor", Joey's last name was "Harris", and Nicole's last name was "Bradford", after her mother, Marcy Bradford .
