Default Antenna TV airing Unedited Episodes Occasionally

Ever since Antenna TV was picked up by a local station in my area in December, I have been recording the show. I notice that every now and then Antenna TV airs a few unedited episodes of the show which would be 25 minutes in duration. It airs Tuesday-Friday mornings from 1:00 am to 2:00 am est and again on Friday nights at 11:00 pm to 12:00 am est, at least 3 episodes that air during each week is unedited

Now that you mention it, there have been a couple times lately where the episodes seem to go longer than I'm used to watching. I think that must have started just recently, because I've been taping episodes since June 2011 (I still haven't finished watching them all, lol) and the ones I've been recording this past month or so do seem to go longer than the ones Antenna TV aired earlier. I think Antenna TV has already gone through the show's whole run at least twice by now (or close to it), but I still seem to be finding occasional episodes I haven't seen before. Hmm..

I really appreciate it... maybe with other shows I wouldn't mind a couple cuts here and there, but with Burns and Allen, every time there's a jump cut I feel like I'm being robbed.

The first episode of the 5th season, where Gracie invites a bunch of strnagers over to see their season debut, was unedited. Also, they recently showed one of the early 5th season episodes with all the B. F. Goordich references (George hangs a Goodrich sign on the front door as he goes back into the houese at the end; VonZell's Goodnight for B F Goodrich is not edited out). Why not leave all this stuff in? Also, I think they might have just added the Gracie invites the strangers episode to the package...I remember it being skipped in the past.

Default That opening episode of season five...

....originally telecast on October 3, 1954, was also initially telecast in COLOR. Unfortunately, only the black and white prints were syndicated [no one seems to know where the "master copy" is].

I can tell which episodes are edited- usually, it's those that don't feature George & Gracie returning at the end to perform one last joke, as in the episode "Gracie Takes Spanish Lessons" [April 20, 1953];

HARRY VON ZELL: "And now, here are Carnation's 'contented' couple...George and Gracie."
[they walk out on stage]
GEORGE: "Thank you...thank you very much. Gracie and I will be with you again, next week. (to Gracie) Look, Gracie, before we go, I have to tell you something- you see, 'gracias' doesn't mean 'sit down'....'gracias' means 'thank you'."
GRACIE: "What does 'sit down' mean?"
GEORGE: "Who knows?"
GRACIE: "Oh....well, let's go in and 'who knows', I'm tired!"
GEORGE: {somewhat disgusted} "Say good night."
GRACIE: "Buenas noches."
[they walk off, as George "burns"]
HARRY VON ZELL: "George and Gracie were brought to you tonight by CARNATION EVAPORATED MILK....the milk, 'From Contented Cows'..."

On a CBS special about 10 years ago, maybe the 75th anniversary special (?) there was a brief clip from this show, and several people on various forums I belong to have said they have seen it. My guess is that CBS has the master print in their archives.

edit: It looks like UCLA has a print, or the only print:

I am looking through UCLA's catalog to find the listing.

Thanks for that information, 'Benno'!

The other night, the closing credits for the February 15, 1954 episode "No Fan Mail For George" left in Harry's closing remark, "This is Harry Von Zell, saying goodnight for B.F. Goodrich!".
