Question Does anyone know this Amos & Andy trivia question

Kingfish used to say a certain line a lot. Does anyone know what it was? Frank Sinatra,Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. used to imitate it a lot. If you know it feel free to e mail me at tabusue@warwick.net
Would be much appreciated.

Even though you posted this trivia question
on 11-27-2000 I'm just reading it today and
I do hope you have received the answer you
were looking for by now.

Here is my answer to your question Dose any-
one know this Amos 'n' Andy trivia question?)
My answer is (Holy Mackerel). Hope this is
the answer you were looking for. This was
one of the shows I enjoyed as a child.

May God Bless You. Mrs. Vera Redmond

After thinking about the answer
I gave a few days ago I'm chang-
ing the answer to Let's simonize
our watches). This is something
else The Kingfish said a lot.

This sounds more correct.

Have A Good Day. Mrs. Redmond

One that I personally did not hear; however, have heard forever - While he was speaking with a lady he pulled a cigar from his coat pocket and said: "Exxxcuse me while I whups this out!" Was she thinking of the cigar?

Default Rat Pack line from Amos & Andy

The line you are thinking of was used by the Rat Pack on numerous occasions.

Dean & Sammy would quote the Kingfish saying...

"If the Lone Ranger is as ugly as your mama then the Lone Ranger gonna be aLONE for a long long time."

Frank also loved the Kingfish and quite often used the line..."Now wait da minute!"

Hope this helps!

Default What Kingfish Said

He never said I's Regusted, That was Andy. He did say Holy Mackerel & Oh Me. He also never said Excuse Me While I Wupps This Out. He only said Let's Simonize Our Watches on one episode & The Lone Ranger line was never used on the tv series.

I thought I remembered both Kingfish and Andy saying "I's regusted," but my memory has played tricks on me about other things too.

I'm reviving a pretty old thread, but maybe someone will be interested. I'm pretty sure I can remember Sammy Davis joking around with Dean Martin and saying "Who da Kingfish?". I didn't know at the time, but this would seem to relate to the episode where Kingfish says this pretending to have amnesia to avoid responsibility, and I believe Sammy was using it in a similar way when he was caught out at something. Anyone else remember this phrase being used by any of the Rat Pack?

I believe "Let's simonize our watched" was said during a car chase scene from the Amos & Andy episode "Restitution".

You would have to have seen that when it originally aired in order to know it. That episode is one of the 7 or so still allegedly lost unless it's been found and I wasn't aware of it.
